How do I access Mobile Deposit?
Simply download the Mobile App, enroll in Mobile Banking, and select Deposit in the bottom menu bar.

Salem Five uses extremely secure, high-end encryption technologies and the images of your checks are stored securely at the bank.

How should I endorse a check?
Simply write "For mobile deposit only” and if available check the box that indicates for mobile or remote deposit only, then write ‘Salem Five’ in the name of the financial institution line and add the date of the deposit.

Do I need to take a photo of both the front and back of the check?
Yes, the app will prompt you to take a picture of both the front and back of your check. The picture is taken automatically once the check is lined up properly. For best image quality, place your check on a dark-colored, plain surface that is well lit and position your camera directly over the check (not angled).

What should I do with my check after making a deposit?
Keep the original check until you see the deposit post to your account, then destroy it. An image of your check is stored securely at the bank.

When will my deposit post to my account?
Generally, your deposit will display immediately as a pending transaction. Occasionally, a deposit may not display immediately and could take up to one additional business day to display.

When will my funds be available?
Generally, funds will be available the next business day. Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays are not considered business days.

I entered the wrong amount for deposit. Should I re-scan my check?
No. The system reads the dollar amount written on the front of the check. If necessary, we will correct the amount during our deposit review. Check the following business day to confirm the correct dollar amount was posted to your account.

Is there a limit to how much money I can deposit using my mobile device?
Mobile Deposit limits are dynamic and determined based on deposit account specific behavior. Your mobile check deposit limits may change periodically based on changes in your deposit account behavior.

How do I know what my mobile deposit limits are?
Your account deposit limits will display each time you make a mobile deposit.

Can you make a deposit limit exception for me so I can deposit this check using mobile banking today?

How will I know if there is a problem with my check deposit?
If there is a problem with your check deposit, we will send you an email notification asking you to contact us to resolve the issue. You can also check the status of your deposit in the mobile deposit section of the App by selecting ‘View mobile deposit history.’
